CHOOSING FABRICS & SOFT FURNISHINGS
With access to the world of fabrics, the choice for many is overwhelming. I source from far and wide and certainly have my favourites that epitomise the country look. Fabrics that are produced in the UK are cherished, employing techniques such as hand blocking or using local mills. These I feel add the much needed narrative to building your country style. A full curtain and upholstery service is offered, all of which is carried out in East Sussex. FINDING AND PLACING FURNITURE
A country style is a relaxed one that is 'woven' through time. It's an eclectic mix of styles that reflect the owners' lives. It is often challenging to find a piece that will fit a certain place, the measurements, the strength and the scale it brings to the room is critical. Keeping a keen eye on auction houses, antique fairs and international dealers; finding the right piece is a challenge that is always relished.
There are so many forms of amazing colour all around us. Focus and a sharp eye will find contrasting and complementary colours that work harmoniously in a scheme. I am happy to advise on paint selections from the smallest of rooms to schemes for complete homes.
My service enables you to pick and choose elements or hand the reins over entirely and for me to provide a complete scheme, from conception, project management, installation and the finishing touches, which can include lighting, layering, windows treatments, art, flowers and much more.
